Keraplast boosts sales of terrace glass products with i3D

Keraplast, known for its terrace glass products, streamlines and improves sales with i3D software. The software includes browser-based sales configurators, 3D design software and a production management system.

New technologies to support growth

Keraplast started selling patio glass products about ten years ago and has been growing ever since. Before i3D, the company’s sales tool was mainly Excel, which was used to calculate quotations and outline product packages. However, increased sales, the arrival of distributors and more specialised solutions proved Excel to be an error-prone tool.

”As volumes increased and products became a little more complex, problems started to arise,” says Markku Rantanen, Product Manager.

An easy solution to boost sales and streamline production

With the introduction of i3D, Keraplast was able to cost-effectively improve its sales performance. Now, even complex terrace glass products can be specified and priced more accurately, quickly and without errors. The system produces automated picking lists, sawing lists and installation diagrams thus also improving production efficiency. In addition, the automated lists reduce picking errors, among other things.

For production control, strength-calculation automation has already been taken into account on the sales side, adding another element of certainty to the production process.

i3D is a key tool for preparing sales offers

The software makes it easy to produce 3D visualisations of the upcoming product package and offers are more visual, making it easier for the customer to make decisions. The system also allows dealers to place orders directly, reducing the risk of errors and transferring responsibility at the time of ordering to the dealers.

”Quoting has become easier and the work of the production supervisor has been simplified. i3D is not just a sales and production tool, but could be called a factory ordering system,” adds Markku Rantanen
